Lexus
Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Toyota that was launched in the U.S. back in 1989. The brand initially began with one model, the LS large sedan, but has expanded to include coupes, convertibles, SUVs and CUVs. Lexus was the first Japanese luxury brand to seriously compete with German marques thanks to its sterling reputation for quality.

VIDEO: JDM Lexus LFA commercial hits the tubes 1 day ago on Autoblog
Let's all agree that the Lexus LF-A is an uncommonly passionate manifestation of Lexus's relentless pursuit. The buzz that's been generated just by show coverage and reviews have made advertising largely unnecessary, but Lexus has gone and created a spot for its supercar anyway. The music for ...
Cut It Out: Toyota's recalled pedal modification remedy detailed step-by-step 4 days ago on Autoblog
Late last month, Toyota announced that it would begin its biggest recall action ever, summoning 3.8 million cars and trucks back to its dealers to combat "pedal entrapment" by cutting down the accelerator pedals of customer cars to avoid them getting hung-up on floormats, resulting in "unintended ...
First Drive: 2010 Lexus LS460 Sport Package is F-ing with perfection 6 days ago on Autoblog
When Lexus introduced the IS F, enthusiasts were suitably skeptical about the automaker's attempt to go head-to-head with the Germans. After all, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have specialized in creating autobahn-burning, Nordschleife-honed handlers for decades. And then we drove it. To ...
First Drive: 2010 Lexus GX 460 sticks to its trucky roots 13 days ago on Autoblog
The 2002 Lexus GX 470 was little more than a Toyota 4Runner with a healthy dollop of Lexus luxury on top, but at the time, it didn't have to be anything more than that. It seemed just about every automaker that had an SUV in the stable was introducing an uplevel version to capitalize on American ...

J.D. Power has released its 2009 Sales Satisfaction Index, and 29 of 38 brands improved their standing versus last year's numbers. The industry watchdogs at Power say that sales people improved the most over 2008, which isn't surprising given the fact that fewer vehicles are flying off dealer ...

Lexus LFA to be sold in Europe through one dealership 18 days ago on Autoblog
We're not the vindictive types here at Autoblog, but we can appreciate some measure of poetic justice. After all, how many lustworthy European supercars were made available over the decades to any European buyer with enough cash on hand, but those same cars were scarcely available on this side ...
LA 2009: Lexus LFA wireframe cutaway wows us 19 days ago on Autoblog
Wow. Lexus brought their new LFA supercar to the LA Auto Show this year. That might not seem particularly wow-worthy, but it definitely becomes more surprising when you hear that they actually brought an LFA and a half. While a white LFA was happily humming along, spinning slowly on a rotating ...
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book best resale value awards 19 days ago on Autoblog
According to the experts-of-such-things at Kelley Blue Book, the average vehicle will only retain about 35 percent of its original value after the initial five-year ownership period, often making depreciation the greatest expense incurred by drivers over that time period. That's a hefty chunk of ...
VIDEO: Lexus LFA illicitly investigated by fanboy in secret warehouse 20 days ago on Autoblog
If Motor Mavens legitimately got a call from a well-placed friend and truly snuck in to fiddle with a $400,000 car that's ostensibly in trustworthy care, we apologize, but it smells really staged from here. It doesn't matter, though, the LFA looks fantastic in this video, and the LCD gauges are ...

The lease-only 2011 Lexus LFA supercar has been getting a lot of exposure lately. We had a chance to drive it a few weeks ago and just showed you some pics of the matte black car when it showed up at Cars & Coffee in Irvine this Saturday, but now we have something even better. LeMans-winner ...
REPORT: Lexus to lease - not sell - all U.S. LFA supercars in order to foil speculators 29 days ago on Autoblog
In an interesting bid to foil exotic car speculators who drive up the prices of limited-availability models, Lexus will reportedly lease – not sell – its forthcoming LFA supercar when it hits the U.S. market in January of 2011. As Automotive News reports, Lexus will only offer ...
Lexus introduces second-generation 2010 GX460 1 month ago on Autoblog
Two steps forward and one step back seems to be the rally cry of the new 2010 Lexus GX460. This second-generation, three-row, mid-size, body-on-frame SUV from Lexus replaces the GX470, which, as its name implies, had a slightly larger engine. That 4.7-liter V8 engine, however, couldn't touch the ...
Cars & Coffee: Lexus LFA shows up ahead of LA Auto Show 1 month ago on Autoblog
The Lexus LFA supercar might not be in dealerships for another year or more, but the two prototypes are getting quite a workout. After driving the car in Miami, we heard the white one was shipped off to Europe while the black one took up residence in its new home: a trailer. The car has made a ...

REPORT: Toyota may offer to fix 4 million accelerator pedals 1 month ago on Autoblog

SEMA 2009: Meet the world's most desirable Lexus RX450h by Branew 1 month ago on Autoblog
Let me be blunt: I don't like luxury crossovers. At all. It's a niche with no appeal to me whatsoever. Not a car, not a truck – just a fat sedan jacked up on stilts to woo trophy wives with fancy badges and reassure soccer mammas that their children are "safe." And the Lexus RX gets the ...
SEMA 2009: Lexus F-Sports sitting in the sun 1 month ago on Autoblog
It's tempting to dismiss Lexus' F-Sport as a direct Audi S-Line rip off. But unlike Audi's visual-only appearance upgrades, F-Sport actually offers some performance (intake, exhaust, brakes, etc.), handling and exterior body mods. Advantage, Lexus. And we like the Yakuza-y stance of this GS ...
SEMA 2009: A trio of modded Lexus customs drop their tops 1 month ago on Autoblog
While it might be tempting to dismiss the Lexus C (either the 250 or 350) as a bustled buttocksed luxury faux-sports car, Lexus implanted enough good handling (in the 250 C) and/or POWA! (in the 350 C) to make 'em pretty much OK in our book. Still, this is SEMA -- pretty much OK is never even ...
VIDEO: Weaving the Lexus LFA's carbon fiber A-pillar is mesmerizing 1 month ago on Autoblog
If you read our First Drive of the Lexus LFA, you might recall an interesting little factoid we threw in to illustrate the OCD-level of detail Toyota used to produce its first ever supercar. With over 150 years of looming experience, ToMoCo owns a rotary weaver -- one of two in existence -- ...
SEMA Preview: 400-hp supercharged Lexus IS C hits the road to Sin City 1 month ago on Autoblog
Fox Marketing is back for the 2010 SEMA show, following up last year's tuned IS F with a supercharged 2010 Lexus IS350C. While Lexus' hard-top cabrio may be an odd choice for a performance makeover, you can't deny the equipment Fox used to create the lime green, 405 horsepower drop-top. A ...
First Drive: 2011 Lexus LFA is wicked and this way comes 1 month ago on Autoblog
It's taken nearly four days to wrap my head around the 2011 Lexus LFA, and if I'm honest, I'm still not halfway there. The combination of a decade-long gestation, a half dozen prototypes comprised of two different materials, a high displacement V10 that cuts fuel at 9,500 RPM and a $375,000 ...

Lexus may offer decontented, track-focused LFA 2 months ago on Autoblog
We're still trying to wrap our heads around yesterday's drive of the Lexus LFA, but before we give up the goods on Toyota's first V10-powered hypercar (check back on Monday), we cornered Paul Williamsen, the National Manager of Lexus College, about ToMoCo's plans to offer a harder, track-focused ...
The Lexus LFA may cost $375k, but the paper one is free 2 months ago on Autoblog
Many people are into model cars. And... origami. Tangrams, too – which are sort of a two-dimensional, reusable form of origami. What are we on about here, why are we discussing folding paper and models? Funny you should ask. See, the all new Lexus LFA went ahead and got revealed the other ...
